FMGE is a licensure exam to obtain license to practice medicine in India. Soon to be replaed by NEXT.
There is no concept of seats in FMGE Exams, you can attempt it as many times as you’d like, however clearing it in one time would be the best. This exam is only for getting yourself registered in MCI and get a license. You need to obtain 50 percent marks to quality the examination i.e. answer 150 questions correctly.
FMGE is not an entrance exam for admission into medical courses. It stands for Foreign Medical Graduates Examination and is conducted by the National Examination Board every year. It is a licensure examination. It is required to be given by the Indian Medical Aspirants who have completed their MBBS abroad and want to practice medicine in India or obtain a license. After completing this exam, the candidate will be registered by the Medical Council of India.
There will be two papers conducted, Paper 1 and Paper 2 for FMGE. Each paper having a total of 150 questions. There isn’t any negative marking.
